Introduction:
Riot forge is a popular American video game developer based in Los Angeles. They have launched many games like League of legends, Valorant, League of Legends: Wild Rift and Legends of Runeterra, etc.
Ruined King is part of the Riot Forge company. It is an enterprise that allows third-party developers to create games with the League of Legends license. Airship Syndicate has developed this game. It is the same studio that created Darksiders: Genesis.
Release of Trailer:
A trailer was released a few days back during the League of Legends World Championship. In the trailer, it was shown that the group was assembling in a tavern and then sailed towards mysterious land which was controlled by the king.
The company has announced that League of Legends will be headed to consoles with the release of the spin-off game Ruined King: A League of Legends Story.
It is set in the world of Runeterra. Ruined King will be a single-player RPG based game.
In this game, you will go on an adventurous journey through two regions of Runeterra – Bilgewater and the Shadow Isles. A team of beloved League of Legends champions like Miss Fortune, Illaoi, Braum, Yasuo, Ahri, and Pyke is then formed.
Launch Date:
Riot hasn’t announced the actual release date but they have released a statement in which they told that the game will launch in early 2021. This game will also be available on Switch, PS4, Xbox, and PC through Steam and the Epic Games Store.
“Ruined King” will be available on PS5 and the Xbox Series. In addition to this, it will also allow the players to upgrade their previous version for free.
Leanne Loombe, the Head of Riot Forge at Riot Games also explained in a press release that “Ruined King is a great way to expand the world of Runeterra for brand new players and also for our dedicated League of Legends fans.”
Conclusion:
Riot forge has only dropped us some hints. It will soon tell us more about the Ruined King: A League of Legends Story in December 2020.
